Start with a visit to the Clan Jetties located along the waterfront of George Town. Get a first-hand view of houses on stilt by the coast of the living heritage of the Chew Clan go about their daily life. Then visit the former house of a Chinese Captain, the Pinang Peranakan Mansion. This elite house featured many recollection memories when the Chinese immigrants inter-marriage with the locals and created a fusion of east meets locals, hence a new tradition was borne. Take a tour to Khoo Kongsi, one of the grandest temple or clan house of the Khoo family and marvel at the grand architecture, one of the best outside China. Learn about the history, rituals, fengshui and trivia stuffs found in Khoo Kongsi. End the tour with a visit Reclining Buddha Temple (Wat Chaiyamangkalaram) and Burmese Temple (Dharmikarama Temple). See the standing Buddha and check out the Guardian of the World (Panca Rupa) and count how many animal's part that make up of this guardian. Throw a few coins for luck in Fountain of Life and learn about the life journey of Buddha.
